Laid Off

Today I was laid off from my job of the last two years due to budget reasons. The economy is bad now so it wasn’t totally unexpected but of course it still isn’t exactly ideal. Regardless I am now available if anyone is looking to hire. I think you can see from my blog here that I am passionate, driven and at least semi-intelligent and intellectually curious.

I would love to hear from anyone. Please pass it along.

As with you, I too, was laid off on the 10th for budget reasons. The economy sucks and is making it very hard for people who actually want to work to find a job. Unemployment checks take forever and in that meantime, how do people live?

Ouch! I feel your pain. A friend of mine said that the synagogue she works for has stopped making coffee for the staff to trim from the budget. The staff isn’t getting a cost-of-living raises either, and teachers for the school that the synagogue hosts may be laid off too. The first time in its history they have considered it, she told me.
